About Urban Corps (UC)

Urban Corps is a faith-inspired project that assists individuals and families with reaching and fulfilling purpose and sustaining lasting peace of mind as they navigate social and economic realities in increasingly unjust environments.

With a growing team of individuals–clergy, legal practitioners, physicians (psychologists, social workers), educators (academics), and many others–Urban Corps rises and responds to the recurring and often challenging needs of contemporary urban contexts. Urban Corps places great focus on vulnerable and minoritized individuals and groups within existing and emerging contexts of urban realities.

At the moment, Urban Corps only admits new chapter organizers from the United States. Please, contact us if you are interested in starting a new chapter at your location.

Our organization focuses on raising a family that is connected through the need for healthy relationships. At Urban Corps, we understand that family ideals mean so much to millions of people. However, many people are unable to be with let alone enjoy their families due to economic, social, and psychological injustice.

Through a national (and now globally-growing) database of inter-organizational connections, Urban Corps provides resources to help fight against oppression that seek either to prevent individuals and families from attaining their fullest potentials, or stultify progress due to misuse and abuse of power and privilege.

As a vocal advocate for social and economic justice, Urban Corps works to create a liberal and liberating atmosphere for human beings to become their best. That way, society at large benefits when such individuals are able to fully reach their potentials. We believe that the happiness and peace of society depend largely on the peace of individuals and familiies.
